The squad room receives a large box which is stuffed with a dead body, and the suspects are piling up. Among the group is a religious stepfather; a moody ex-flame; an exploited buddy; and a hateful landlord. Meanwhile, Brenda and Fritz are sorely tested by her troubled visiting niece and her behavior.
